Following on from performances at the Masters of Tradition concert series in Bantry House, David played in the Sydney Opera House with Mairtín O’Connor, Seamie O’Dowd, Cathal Hayden, Iarla Ó’Lionard, Steve Cooney, Denis Cahill and Martin Hayes.
In January 2011, a further ‘Masters of Tradition on Tour’ presentation took place at Merkin Hall, New York as part of Imagine Ireland, a year-long international promotion of the arts in Ireland. In March 2012, The ‘Masters of Tradition on Tour’ covered the United States taking in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Virginia, Washington and Denver. The 2013 US tour began at the University of Texas and ran for two weeks and nine performances on the east and west coasts of the US. ‘The Masters of Tradition on Tour’ played the National Concert Hall in Dublin in July 2013 and the 2014 tour begins in Lewisberg, Pennsylvania. At a Masters of Tradition performance, from the opening notes of David Power's uilleann pipes, the listener realizes that they are in for a unique evening of magic and portent.
